Do whatever you must to ensure that your knives do not poke through the package. I recommend using bubble wrap, multiple layers of newspaper (6+), or a custom cardboard sheath. Be sure to not just fold wrapping over the knife, but wrap each blade individually like a burrito. Alternately, wrapping knives up collectively in a towel or a knife roll will work, but may require some additional packing material to eliminate shifting. A good way to save on shipping is to put multiple towel rolls (or knife rolls) in a medium shipping box. A single roll should fit approximately 10 knives. Taking all these precautionary steps will make sure that your knife is protected properly for the long journey and will return home unbent, unchipped and totally sharp!
Get six or more layers of newspaper, some tape and your knives.
Get a box for the little burritos you’ve made.
Crumple newspaper and insert in between each of your knives and around the edges of the box.
Please include your name, phone, email, return address and any specific instructions on sharpening (ex. do you want this broken tip fixed or left as it is?). Also include your preferred method of contact. Once I receive your order I will start working on it unless I need to call/email you to clarify what you would like done. Send the items to:
