Not all knives were manufactured with re-sharpening in mind. They are often advertised as “never needs sharpening”, but in fact they were made to be thrown away after they inevitably become dull. If they have small serrations (less than 1/4″) they will be sent back to you and you will be charged for the return shipping. If they have a non-serrated edge we will sharpen them, but they will likely not hold it for very long so we do not recommend sending them!
Inexpensive hair shears and scissors can also be of a disposable nature. Somehow they do not hold an edge like they did from the factory once they are resharpened. For hair shears this is critical, because once we sharpen them and send them back to you they may lose their edge fairly quickly. If your hair shears have plastic handles and cost under $25 then I recommend buying a new pair instead of having them sharpened by us. The same goes for cheap scissors (under $10).
